Recorded in San Francisco on December 11, 2021, these four tracks represent the last four years of my life and the big-picture conversation I've had with myself in getting back to my truth knowing that I got somewhat lost for a long while. Not a total loss at all and also not completely feeling recovered from it all, but on the right track. It is hard not to look back with some frustration at things that have happened, and in the second track I'm letting myself vent while committing to moving forward. I often feel like I'm on the extremes and I'm always all or none is a song that reminds me I can be too one-sided in my thinking sometimes just because I'm scared of failing and I shouldn't give into my desire to give up and disappear on people instead of having even a small conflict. Arguments are actually good and helpful sometimes. Finally, I want to always remember not to run from all the different parts of me, to embrace them all and not flatten them out because the pieces don't seem to fit perfectly. The inconsistencies in my journey since 2018 and the varied facets of myself are being integrated in these songs, in the words I sing to myself about where I've been and where I'm going.
